hedgehog's dilemma

heh the post on upgrading to win10 was actually my 1000th post.

what a way for it to have taken the spot eh...

to think that it would have been something mind blowing or substantial to be written out for such an 'iconic' post number. i guess not everything is glitters

today is 23rd August, Crystal's brithday btw, i didn't plan anything much.

we wanted to go to rainbows end, but i guess that cant happen now with the lockdowns

sigh NZ went back into lockdowns, COvid manage to sneak in from australia

watcching Neon Genesis Evangelion EP4

Shinji reminds me so much of myself.... "doing something" just for the thought of others.

so that other's wont need to 'suffer' or hurt themselves,

i'll be the one to sacrifice myself for the 'greater good'

heh, this messiah complex,

i wonder why i've still no gotten over it

he just.. ran away

just resigned

just... went on with being his own self

do the things that he wanted to do,

not because other people wanted it of him

the Hedgehog's Dilemma

he speaks out like that (in a un nice way)

because he doesn't know how else to express himself

all worlds in me

 Mr Nobody,

Is one of the best movies i've watched..

that i think life is like...

there's just so many choices that we could have taken in life, in the past, in the future

there's an infinite amount of parallel universes,

one i didn't do this,

one i did that..

one i stayed,

one i went

but now... this is the present

this is the universe that i currently live in

you are here,

with me.

i'll love you till the end

land

How did you find me?
I was on a hunt, otw there was smoke. Like any cabin would have. Otw back there wasn't.

Edee: "why are you helping me?"
Miguel: "you were in my path"

What.. People think is okay
Is not okay

And someone whom knows the true true
Has to.. Do something..

Speak out.. Act.

leaving home for too long

"family doesn't say thank you"

"sometimes you're away from home so long you forget yourself" _ Eleanor Young

some truth in it.
its so different to be staying away from family,
the people that you grew up with and shaped your life.
It's not like they made the choices for me,
its just that it comes automatically choosing what was the best path based on the experience of others.
but now i find myself in a different place, and i...

i'm not sure if i want to follow the path that the rest have laid out before

Virtue

In Thomas Hobbes utilarian and consequentialist principal virtue is that which provides "the greatest happiness for the greatest numbers"

I see how it can work, sacrificing the minority for the sake of the majority (or the greater good). It is impossible to please everyone and make all happy least we end up like Romantically Apocalyptic .. Where everyone gets what they want though a Neural Interface. Or a movie "the congress".

However I don't think that giving people what they want all the time is the best thing to do. Long term effects show themselves slowly. So sometimes we have to with hold back from pleasing people all the time, for the sake of a better future.

Doesn't mean because the majority agrees to it, makes it good and acceptable in God's eyes.

drones

why would anybody want to built something that has the same limitations of a human.
making a robot that walks requires so much effort, balancing the body weight on ankles is something biological bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments do awesomely compared to steel and plastics.

flying however, is a whole different thing altogether.

drones are the future of man.

the fly for one thing, they can access places man cant,
they're small, they're cheap, and having 4-8 rotors/blades make them much easier to make compared to legs. almost anyone can fly them and the uses are unlimited.

its so light, its much cheaper to get something (i.e camera, supplies, sensors) up in the sky compared to a helicopter that might be 2000 bucks per hour.. fuel and pilot included.

they can bring lidar, infrared, HD cameras... heck even weapons up into the air.

aerial combat .. against loggers, poachers and wildfires.

i remember when watching the movie "tree idiots" and there was a dude in MIT who committed suicide for his drone project being turned down. wow... india was doing the in thing even before it was cool.

the machine 2013

just watched "the machine" the other day. so closely linked to "her" and "transcendent".

in the movie, looks like the key for Artificial intelligence is..
to be able to learn from conversations.

come to think of it, if i had a super power, i would love to be able to read other people's conversations. come to think of it, i would just talk to them =)

this is the core of humanity, relationships. when we talk to people, we mold not only ourselves, but also those around us. our personalities, our consciousness, our ideas.. not just our own, but we also take in the beliefs of others, its a collection of all our experiences and memories.

yet, our identity is still found in God, as He is the one who gives us life.
thats why there is still hope for the human soul.

a machine is however created by man, if it was to take on the image of its creator,
a man's heart is prone to sin, war, death, hate, greed... pride

or could it be possible for love to exist in a machine.. one that cares, one that nurtures

technology, the brain: search engine preferences.
they guess and assume what we want to look at based on our search and browsing history,
very much like reading our conversations with other people,

just that: it replaces community interaction between two or more people with
a very individualistic introverted interaction between man and machine.

.. thats it..

i'm gonna cut myself off the internet and get a cellular phone with no data, wassap or instant fb messaging.

soon =)

Missing you

"Hey darling

How was your day?"

You know after watching two movies 'the awkward moment' and wolf of Wall Street.
Gosh I should have listened to my sister not to watch that second movie. Horrible.

Why did the girls have to say 'I don't love you anymore'
And btw, they're married. It's like... Movies are advocating divorce now.
Sigh..

It's NOT okay.

riding on dreams

so i watched two movies,
How to Train your Dragon 2
Rise of the Guardians

when i was watching HTTYD 2, the thing that came to my mind was riding is cool. i wish i had a motorbike here =P closest thing one could get to a dragon i guess

and ROTG, talked about believing in something that is really.... erm... intangible (initially)
kinda reminds me of what faith in Christ is like, and how He protects us.

how having fear or dreams or nightmares all matter in a child's life.
how even it matter's in my life now...
