If God made everything…

did He make Evil and Hell too?

Growing up in a (neo) Baptist church, my childhood perspective of certain things in religion are shapped by what was thought in Sunday sermons. But as we grow older (in age and maturity), we learn more and more about what’s out there in the world…

So some would have the belief that God didn’t make evil, that it was a byproduct or something that came later on after Creation had finished its course in that first seven days. I.e. Satan as the Serpent tempting Adam and Eve to disobey God, and when they eventually ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the Original Sin came about into the world… seperating us from God, and being the start of this eternal struggle to reconnect and have commune back with Him…

I remember having this discussion in a Cell Group in Sabah when I went as a University Student. Some ladies believed that Sin only started at Adam and Eve (so it never existed before that), but her husband on the other hand took my point that Sin existed before the creation of the world. As I gave the explanation that Lucifer rebelled against God with some of the (fallen) angels (Isaiah 14:12–14), whom were then cast out of Heaven (to Hell presumably)

So…. that event should have happened before the Universe was created with the first lines “Let there be light” .. right?

That was what my argument was based on, to give a timeline to sin exsisting before man.

But yeah. I never beleived that Sin or Evil was intentionaly MADE by God Himself. I’ve always beleived that Sin was the ABSENCE of God. Whatever that is apart from Him, or whatever seperates us from Him. i.e. the original Disobedience when Adam and Eve ate from the fruit. (I used to belief that there was nothing physically poisonous about the fruit itself, but it was the spoken command by God to not eat from it…. and it was the act of deliberately disobeying God’s command that was the actual sin itself)

So was the Tree of Knowledge just another tree, that it could have been any other tree.. and nothing inherently special about it physically?

Why did God even create such a tree in the middle of the garden of Eden in the first place? Maybe if He didn’t … there would be literally no chance of humans to disobey God. and with the lack of an alterantive option to choose, there would be no real freedom of choice in this world. And we couldn’t “choose” God, because there would be no other thing to choose from. i.e. one can’t choose A, if there was no B.

So yeah… this question.. then flows on to modern times. Alot of people use this argument to ‘disprove’ God. like… ‘if there was a God, why is there stil war, poverty, pain, suffering, cancer and diseases” . To this I remember the verse about the man being born blind, being no one’s fault, but so that the glory of God could be revealed through the miracle of healing of his eyes and sight (John 9).

God gives a a chance to partner with Him though the shortcomings of this world. That is how we get to know God and be known by Him.

That is how we learn to trust in Him. If the world was already perfect, there would be no need for a God. or for us to rely on God.

Some would say that, Christians are weak. That’s why we need to rely on Someone else above us. And they are proud that they have made it all in life by themselves, all the wealth and health and happiness. (i.e like the rich man with barns (Luke 12:16–21)) … but you could have all the money… climb up on the roof one day and fall to your death the next (which actually happened to the alpha boss!)

So yeah… no one can really save their own souls. by their own. they only way we can save it, is by losing it to Christ. and admitting our own weakness…. for that is when we are strong in Christ. I admit, I would still be in sin if not for Him.

i digress… so inclined to add that salvation part in stories all the time midway

back to the original topic and question.

Did God make evil?

I used to say no. I find it hard to wrap my head around the possiblity of saying “yes”. Did God make the criminals, the blind, the weak and the heathen, Judas? … God knows. God… makes a way out too

If you're currently in a bad situation..

And someone says... There is a way out..

There is a better life waiting for you ahead..

It's tough.

It really is hard to get through.

An unloving mother,

Infertility,

Cancer..

Death of a love one.

What is the other way to say to someone grieving that Jesus loves them and wants them to have a better future...

"He is there with you"

In the darkest moments.

Christ has not forsaken us,

Not even one step of the way...

He was there there whole time.

Jesus knows my every weakness,

Jesus knows my every pain,

My every sacrifice and every shame.

Yet Jesus still choose to stay beside me,

Yet Jesus still choose the cross,

To bear my burden upon Himself,

So that I may freely live in Him.

People got sleepy..and when your tripping in between the states of consciousness and sleep.. man.. that's the sweet spot..

That's why sleeping in class is good...

That's why the second universal law is about it..

It's not a mystery or unknown..

1. What if the earth doesnt have a finate amount of resources? As we now think it does...

I mean.. What if the sun light brings in more mass (does light carry more than just energy wave lengths? Is a photon something that can contribute to atoms? And smaller atoms just keep combining to form bigger ones? Eventually all the elements on the periodic table are fabricated

2. What if wind and wave energy is actually detrimental?

Whobsaysbthat capturing the currents and velocity of the skies bring about no ill effect to the earth as a whole? Maybe becasue we slow down the movement of undercurrents, the global metrological patterns go out of whack and droughts and monsoons and typhoons happen in a seemongly erractic way.. But they are all part of the same earth's equation.

Theres no such thing as gaining someyhing without a sacrifice. Every action has a equal and oppoaite reaction. Every benefit has a price to be paid.

A holy place. Scantum. Brings to mind the Christian song. "Take me past the outer courts, into the Holy place, past the brazen alter, Lord I want to see Your face... ". Growing up in church we use this word quite a bit. I guess it's used to refer to where God dwells. Where He can be found.

Shadow House

Sounds dark. Like a place where ghost hide. Like a haunted place. The house in Stranger Things season 4. Its gloomy. Theres spider cobwebbs.. Nobody had gone there for a long time. Shadow brings to mind the Swtichfoot lyric "the shadow proves the Sun shines". Shadows are there, no doubt. But we dont pay much attention to them. Because its stuff that we think are negstive, taboo or not nice to show to the public. However, it is there. In us. I've heard of Shadow Work. Of the Dark Night of the Soul. Computer games make use of the "shadow" term in units, skills or characters..

Temple

The church. Where Christians in other traditions call a place of gathering. A religious place for whatever religion people belive in. It has many different names. But often associated sith Buddhist. A place with statues and idols. Smoke from joss sticks. When i was young i would say "I'll never never go into a chinese temple, thats where Satan is". But when i grew up, i realise that it is not what is on the outside, but on the inside of us that either keeps us 'holy' or defiles us. Visiting other people's places of worship 

anxiety, need a purpose

So i guess, mental health is a... first world problem? Like when people have something to work and look forward to, they have no time to over think things.

Its the idle mind, the extra time, the freedom and restlessness that comes from an affluent life that brings about a downfall

Too much isn't good. 

What is this life for? 

what is right

What is good is not always right.

What is alot is not necessarily good. 

What is right now, might not be later on. 

What is right later on, might not be further on. 

did trees die before the fall of man?

 i wonder if trees ever died before the fall of man.

was death caused by 'sin'. adam and eve's disobedience to God's command not to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge?

heaven, what if it really is like a place with no suffering,

where everyone just accepts their lot in life,

i dont want to have 'responsibilities' after i die, (yeah i'm kinda lazy, and the word kinda makes me think of 'work')

however, if it was do something i'd love to do for eternity i wouldn't mind...

what if heaven is like that, being able to do what we were intended to do from the start

what did God intent for me to do? what was His plan?

hmm...

in nature, everything plays its part,

every organism has its role,

no one is bad nor good,

things grow, reproduce seeds, die

bacteria decomposes the dead into nutrients

for the next generation to use,

it's all a cycle really,

a circle of life,

death and rebirth,

and endless cycle

(i guess that's why the Buddhist keeps trying to escape it)

hmmm..

heaven

where everything is in perfect harmony with each other

no more suffering, no more pain,

no more wars, only peace....

will there still be freedom?

will there still be individuality?

how could a place be conflict free if everyone was still able to keep their own mind,

transformation,

the process of sanctification here on earth 

that's why its so important,

this Christianity thing,

it's preparing each of us for eternity in a way no other process would

heaven isn't a goal, it isn't a destination

it's a process, it's a place where we come to at the end,

it's what's beyond the journey,.. after we've walked it

and it's in this journey,

that we face the struggles, obstacles and challenges in life

that would give us the opportunity to make choices,

that would mould our character

yes...

this is why we're still on earth,

we're not ready for heaven yet

keep on living

there will be joy

the earth will stop going round the sun one day

The ability of someone to accept the possibility of aliens is a good gauge of a person's comprehension of logic and physics

The earth was not without a beginning,

the solution to poverty

Being poor is generally associated with a particular economic state. Of cause we can define it to include other aspects such as metal, emotional, relational and other abstract values. For this particular statement however let set the boundary as regards to being poor financially.

So what is the solution to this age old question? How did peasants in the feudal eras overcome their lords, how did workers unionised to demand rights from capitalist, how did slaves walk out freed men? 

I thought over it, while picking cumcumbers... And I've come up with a theoretical soultion

For there to be no poor, there has to be no rich. 

Now i know that sounds crazy. But listen before you label me a socialistic communist..

There will be no poor when people stop exploiting other people. When humans cease to see each other as mear objects. When humanity can realise we're all in this together.

As one part of the body cares for another, so too should those privileged ones care for the less fortunate. 

To embodie this theory. One has to be able to come to apoint where he will never make a claim that he is rich. Or well, never self proclaim it. If he has the ability to be rich, and there are still the poor amongst him, then he isn't truly rich.. yet. He is only considered rich if he's been able to eradicate poverty. In other words there are no more poor people.

However this might be impossible, because human nature by default is lazy and we tend to the path of least resistance. Someone whom is just begging and waiting for handouts without lifting a finger surely doesnt deserve help does he?

Or does he nevertheless? 

The undeserving, 

The unlovable, 

The hated

The ridiculed

The scorned and shamed... 

Ah... Surely they dont deserve unmerited favours. 

The solution to poverty is there must be no richness. 

One man gets richer at the expense of another. Thats just the natural law of nature. A plant that extends more roots can get water supplies and essential nutritions better than another plant whom cant compete. Completion for sunlight, minerals and space makes nature progress in a.... sustainable manner. 

Old plants will never live forever, nor seeds remain in the ground. Young plants will not be shaded forever, and with the full sunlight after a treefall, they have the time and potential to mature to their best. Growing high and proving shade for the next generation, continuing the cycle. 

Its all a cycle. 

The rich, the poor 

The lazy the hardworking

The exploited the opportunist 

There will be no more poor when the rich willingly give up their riches

Yes so that sounds impossible. No human in the right frame of mind will give up their hard earn savings to some random beggar on the street that didn't work hard for it. 

No God would give up his life, his throne in heaven for a mankind so full of hate towards him. 

But anyways.. 

Nature.. 

If they don't, nature will just happen. 

People will die. It cant be taken along. Money will be passed on. It'll be squandered by the next generation. And... 

The poor will be the one whom was once rich. And the currently poor will find riches.

Or will they? 

The solution to poverty. 

There must be no hypercapitalism, 

No advertising or marketing. 

No broadcasting, social media or expositions... 

Will that make it go away? 

Maybe not.. Thats just living in denial, ignorance. 

The solution to poverty is when there is no money... That can be concentrated.. 

Hmm block chain? Crypto currency might just overthrow the current economic market.. Maybe leaving old traditional cash obsolete and invalid.. Then what? What about this new world order.. 

Are you ready or prepared for it? 

The answer to the big question.. 

The poor you will always have among you, 

It is what you choose to do when interacting with them that will determine the outcome of the chain of events about to occur in time.

What a year

Started it off with cmaping for five days with eric at mt kinabalu

Applied for the NZ working holiday visa in Jan. Using Digi hot-spot on a huawei mate9... Getting through the servers was a miracle. I remember praying so earnestly to God 

Flew to NZ in Feb from singapore after visiting Joshua. My first ever flight that needed a transit in Aus.

Touched down in Christchurch and got picked up by Crystal, we homestayed

Worked in timaru in a carrot juicing factory, loved caroline bay and the bay side walk, played basketball, badminton with Kinson, Hea

Lock down happened

Worked 2 days and off 2 days

We had lots of trips for hiking, Mt Nimrod the first with its beautifully cold waterfall

Made friends with a kiwi Dav and Sue, Bbq and used his airsoft gun. 

While the world was going crazy with Covid, NZ stayed chill woth Jacinda and Lvl 4 lockdown.. And its citizens generally really following guidelines 

After four months of 12 hour morning shift factory work... Winter was approaching. We resigned and did a road trip in a motor home for abt a week. Queenstown, wanaka, lake tekapo, mt Cook.

First time hiking in snow, magical

Did snow boarding too, its cool. Much more fun than skiing, well the boots were comfier 

Then road trip with 4 ppl in the car, crystal, kexin, han and I in a nissan liberty. Milford sounds (fuel up your car before going!), nelson, backpacking lots of places, homestaying too... 

Salmon, queenstown, bluff oysters, Invercargill Starbucks.. 

Then we were up north, Wellington, thanks Michelle for hosting us in your beautiful home. 

Then Auckland. Enterprise Recruitment got us into something-micro.. A warehouse for phones and laptops. But the hours were too short. So we got 12 hour night shift work at Sistema. Life there... Mele, hazel, elizabeth and her stories.. 

We also tried to to pasar malam eith sam from treasure Kitchen.. But then second round of covid came.. 

Well.. 

I JUST SAW A SHOOTING STAR! 11.03PM at. Mt eden...

Cool

Yea.. Moved houses from 2H3 to 2H5.. Becamw guan jia, clean stuff... 

Owh i bumped my head om the shower handle one day, nose started bleeding.. Hasn't stopped.. Especial when i exert too much strength at work.. I feel like a blood vessel pops.. Lol.. 

Or maybe it was just the unhealthy life in sistema.. (i wasn't sleeping properly). I'll sleep in the car. Sleep suring breaks. Be sleepy when i drive back.  And only get abt 4-5 hours sleep in the morning (its too bright!) and i probably didn't have enough hormone built up to be sleepy enough. 

And on our off days we'd need to flip back from night to day back to night. 

Erm.. Anyways.. Now i sleep alot.. Avg 7-8 hours. Sometimes 9-10 on the weekends

Anyways... 

Started attending Elim church. (we tried ABT). Wanna be more.. Integrated and involved... 

Ps Becs said 1. Reprioritise, 2. Reposition 3. Resurface 

When things are brought back up, its time to deal with them.. The right way. 

Its getting cold.. Regret not bringing a sleeping bag, blanket.. 

It just gets.. Really cold here.. 

I'm not planning anymore 

I'm not.. Being proactive and thinking ahead. 

And not.. Interacting with.. People..

loaded it on monday 24th. (it was airing free on 21-23 weekend).. its the 28th today.. tried continuing it.. didn't work.. only manage to get in 40 plus minutes..

anyways...

if there was a car crash.. and a life was lost...

What does time mean to nature & the natural world?

Most of the times we hide things out of fear.

But what if we lived in a society that celebrates being imperfect. 

Where we can share whatever is inside us because we know it's safe to do so. 

There won't be any stigma, nor judgment or persecution. 

What if the only thing we needed to fear was God? For it is He that knows all and created all. Why would we even bother fearing man then?

Some say from chinese eating bats at a wildlife market. 

Aome say it was made in a lab. 

Either in china or USA. 

I'd say... God knows exactly what it is

And it is by Him that its exsistance is sustained.
