made a blunder.
Met up with Sri and Jim and the Avi and Goundar at McD's Stoddard.
10 minutes early but still later than the rest.
was the given the first opportunity to 'introduce myself'.
didn't think it through and i just blurted out what came first to my mind when ask:
"tell us your background"..
"i studied forestry in malaysia and came to NZ on a working holiday visa........"
"what kind of visa are you on and how long more?"
"an open work visa... for about two more years"
"oh... if this was an interview i wouldn't take you on, because the company invests in the employees for the long term, with trainings and certifications, we don't want to lose workers after a few years...."
geee.... i shouldn't mention too much details, too far into my background. and just say the information that is relevant and what the person listening wants.... owh well... live and learn.
i hope NCR retains me.. haha. contract is coming to an end in March.. hopefully it'll get renewed so i can do the atm stuff and other jobs that are to come.... i like travelling around compared to sitting in an office 9-5
