Proverbs 17:17 "a friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity"
Poverty: material, spiritual, relational.
They have nothing, yet I'm jealous of something they have. They depend in each other, they have community.
Why people have less close friends? Increasing working hours. Technology: people used to hag out outside of their house. But when air conditioning was introduced .. People spend time inside. Smartphone. Create a wall. Explosion of social media.
Does moving forward have to come at expense at losing the past?
We all need a friend whom:
David: Samuel: a friend who makes you better.

1 Samuel 16:12 - "this is the one"
Jonathan: A friend whom gives us spiritual strength.
Nathan: A friend whom tells us the truth.
