by His strength

just did alpha on "prayer"
the stop animation story where the boy was playing in the sandbox really struck a heart cord.

father: Why didn't you use your strength?
son: but i did! i used all of it
father: You didn't ask me to help.

woahh... profoundness... like, before the father even replied, it was guessable for a long time christian. yet it brings so much truth, many christians rely on our own strength to do things (especially carrying out "God's Will") .. rather than realizing that it is from the Father that our strenght comes from.

Matthew 6:6 "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

what struck me was verse 7
"
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words."

have i... become like one of the hypocrites? babbling nonsense, instead of talking to God? sigh..
