new year 2014

new year's here

spent my first watchnight away from home.
all this time it was always in church, never missing a year...

eh wait no, i didn't spend watchnight back home during 2012/2013 too..
was in indonesia for the 6th ISC... so this is my second year away from home.

gosh.. skipped two years in a row.
i used to think and ask why i was always HAD to go to church on that night,
i felt really obligated back then, as if i was forced to,
not being able to enjoy the fun at malls and other places where masses of people congregate,
like the Curve or KL or something...

but now that i look back, we used to share testimonies of our year back in church during this time.
and it would be so endless. we had to even pause the flow to do countdown at midnight and then continue back later..

owh well.. there's a first time to everything.

btw, today 1st january marks the day that i am, freed again

thank you Lord for sustaining me
throughout that moment in time
and now you have granted me
the rest i've wished for some time

so anyways, i was reading about the new mac pro.. the one that looks like a dustbin..
which lead on to reading about mainframes and super computers..
gosh... Tianhe-2 is... crazy
the power of china... i dont think i can calculate mesh and hypercube architectures..

my brain would just... melt....
and yet this is the way mankind moves forward =)

and i have an interest to build a personal supercomputer with nvedia's tesla =P
anybody wanna fund me? xD

yea humanity, i wonder what we'll achieve by the end of 2014 ... sentient computer's maybe? =D

maybe we'll be able to integrate our biological nerves with tecnology =P that'll be cool, especially if it could help in processing power and storage capacity

well i guess thats what the windows to the Cloud is... we're just separated by our hands and eyes
