power supply adapters for guitar pedals

well, what does a RM100 PSU for a 9V guitar pedal have that makes it diffrent from a RM12 one?
cheap powersupply units... can they be upgraded with just a few small componets so they provide equally good and clean power?

lets find out what the net has to say abt it

first ask uncle google and find the images

next click a few links that show schematics:
from electro tech
ok so maybe i aint got any idea how to read this kinda stuff

err ok so whats the difference?

well... i opened up the RM 12 one and there was just one transformer, a rectifier componet and a capacitor.. thats all. obviously expensive ones have much more components

well.. and easy to understand one from inscrutables

ok.. i'm gonna read how to build one =D
