so its four days into the new year!
31/12/21
spent the eve of it at Bay of Isle's holiday park with Wythe, Julissa and Ah Peng, Ke Xin.
slept into the new year with fireworks and dancing outside.
went to Cape Reinga all the way in the north. something to check off the NZ travel bucket list!
and visited the Sand Dunes, but didn't rent a body board for 15 bucks, so we couldn't really slide down on our yoga mats or skateboard. hence no real photos of the event. But... it was one heck of a workout to be climbing up the dunes! only could manage 3 runs up, i dont think my legs would have carried me up the fourth time.

Then there was a nice motel. we went to Waipu beach to catch crabs, but there was too much seaweed, so they were all full and didn't want to eat our chicken necks.
made our way to Cove cafe for shower and lunch and headed back

just chilled at home, went shopping for fishing gear

fishing at Omaha. cought a Trevally and Snapper. but all too small. saw a japanese dude sashimi the fish like a professional.
should listen to the wife more. holidays.
