Difference of prayer types.

The study should include people that prayed for themselves (instead of just others praying for them).

Testing God to prove something rarely ends well, Jesus himself didn't even want to test his own Father. Although God did respond many times in the Bible stories and throughout history that He is there...

I guess prayer in the closet when no one is looking is more about building a relationship with God. More than praying infront of others as Pharisees do to show off for the sake of human approval...

I like how the study shares about people doing worse off when they knew they were being prayed for.

And linked it to anxiety. Which probably has bio chemical effects on the natural recovery process..

Its like the saying. pray for good results in an exam, but dont study for it. God probably wont help that person with a miracle..

If I discard all the responsibility of healing to "prayers of others" and take no initiative on my own to do anything beneficial ... it probably doesnt work that way.

Cause then faith would be forced upon an unwilling person, and hence loss of "free will". Which.. I think a relational God would like the people believing in Him to have....

Also, God made our biological bodies good. In His design. But due to sin, entropy enters with death and decay....

Heart problems, cancer, plaque, etc...

But He did grant every precious child a brilliant mind. And one so powerful that thoughts can have strong enough placebo effects to heal the body that is otherwise resolved to death from a broken will to live.. Of cause, many in human history have done researches to try and discover these ultimate mysteries...

In neuroscience, biochemistry, etc .. the body does run on electro chemical signals, bio markers, genetics ... as you would know as a scientist 

Science doesnt disprove God, some studies might try to, but they all seem flawed. I.e praying for good results in a test thing.... 

And at the end of the day, science cant answer all the questions. Its still a subset of creation and origins.

Science isn't evil though. Its just a tool. And infact is really good. More and more people should thinking scientificly!! As a matter of fact.... I think alot of people will drop limiting beliefs if they adopted logic and reason... haha

Just like the king trying to prevent the son from knowing the truth about the outside world, sickness, suffering and death..

So it is not healthy to just only have happiness in a child's life. As they will soon one day need to face the reality of the world.

We should not become less dependent on God as we grow older... 

Not in our wealth or security or achievements 

No

We become more and more dependent on Him as time passes

Even when life is smooth going.

Look up and cry to the Father, just as Jesus did 

rituals

God doesn't oppose rituals,

He just doesn't like it when we worship any other thing other than Him.

Yes our God is a jealous god, 

He is after all the God of all gods,

And the King of kings.

So even if there may be others out there...

There is only One true God to worship, whole heartedly.

Christianity isn't polytheism,

One can't follow multiple gods and expect Jesus to be okay with it.
